Anthony Charles VICARI

ANTHONY CHARLES VICARI Tony passed into the arms of God and waiting family on July 11th, 2013. He succumbed to a massive heart attack at home in the arms of his loving wife. Tony was born to Charles and Lena Vicari on February 1, 1926 in San Jose, Calif. He graduated from Campbell High School in 1945. He served overseas in the U.S. Army during the European conflict of WWII, helping to liberate the death camps as well as other duties assigned to his unit. In 1948, Tony joined Mary Rossitto in Holy Matrimony in San Jose, Calif. where he was a rancher and a fireman, attaining the rank of Captain, before becoming Fire Chief of Winston, OR. In 1978 he became a corrections officer prior to retiring to the life of a full-time RV'er. In 2007, Tony married Norma J. Bell in Pahrump Nev., where they lived for the remainder of his life. Tony is survived by his beloved wife, Norma J. Bell Vicari, his children: Charles (Patty) Vicari, John Vicari and Kathy (Dewey) Butler; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren; sisters: Lue (Phil) Bommarito and Anne Obbiso; nieces, nephews and cousins. Tony was preceded in death by Mary, his wife of 56 years and the mother of his children, his daughter Mary Diane and his sons Anthony and Michael. Tony's life will be celebrated in Pahrump, Nev. at his home on Sunday, August 11th from 5-9 P.M. Services and Interment in San Jose, Calif.
