CHARLES LACKYARD Charles (Chuck) Lackyard passed away Dec. 5, 2013, in Pahrump, Nev. Born April 25,1926, in Los Angeles, Calif., joined the U.S. Navy in 1943, served on the USS Manilla Bay, was wounded in combatin the Battle of Leyte Gulf. Married Cora Myrtue, moved to Lodi in 1956 as head Electrician for Diamond Walnut. Retired after 33 years. Past Commander of VFW, past Chief Ranger Order of Forresters, past president of Stockton Coin Club, CAPS volunteer for Galt Police Department. He used to say he was jack of all trades and master of none. Always willing to help A friend. Preceeded in death by wives Cora and Joan, and two sisters. Survived by his son, Don (Susan) Lackyard; grandchildren: Brandon Lackyard, Shanee (Marc) Kelley; great-grandchildren: Ashley, Brock and Brent; three step-children: Robin, Gregg and Linda. At his request there will be no service. Committal is private at Cherokee Memorial Park.
