Clarence COSNER

CLARENCE COSNER Clarence Edward Cosner, 79, passed away at home on July 30, 2013. He was born Nov. 23, 1933, in Albia, Iowa, to Jessie and Roscoe Cosner. Cpl. Cosner married Beverly Shepard on April 18, 1953, in Ottumwa, Iowa. They were married 60 years. In 1975, retired M/Sgt. Cosner and his wife Beverly moved to Pahrump after serving 23 years in the United States Marine Corps. They were in the pizza business for 20 years at the Pizza Factory in Pahrump. He was a member of the Marine Corps League and an All American Commander of VFW Post 10054. He was instrumental in the building of the Post Home on land donated by Digger Anderson on Homestead Rd. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Roscoe, Kenneth, and Richard Cosner, and a sister Elizabeth Goodwin. He is survived by his wife Beverly; two daughters: Rhonda Cosner and Renee Weyen of Pahrump; and one son Chris Cosner of Miss. 6 grandchildren: Cary and Nathan Cosner, Stacey Loffredo, Alicia Escue, Torey and Cooper Weyen; 7 great-grandchildren: Rhiannon and Jiraya Loffredo; McKenzie and Addison Cosner; Kimberly and Noah Escue; and Braylee Quick. He is also survived by one brother, Robert Cosner of Ankeny, Iowa, and one sister, Dell Bruns of Keosauqua, Iowa. Graveside service with Military Honors will be held at a later date at the Grandview Cemetery.
