Carol Lambertus Obituary
CAROL LAMBERTUS (1945-2017) Carol Lambertus passed away on Aug. 19, 2017 from pancreatic cancer. She was born May 29, 1945 in Honolulu, Hawaii and moved to Calif. in the early 1960's, while still in high school. She resided in Southern Calif. until she and her husband, Bruce, moved to Pahrump in 2006. For years, she worked in office administration and eventually became a homemaker. She also volunteered with the PTA, Girl Scouts and local car club. Carol loved socializing, entertaining, movies, food and her friends. She and Bruce also loved to travel and fish in the Sierras. Together, they were members of the local car club and Hawaiian club. Her passion was Hawaiian food and culture, and she enjoyed playing in a ukulele group and hula dancing. She also loved family get-togethers. Carol was predeceased by her father, Herbert Schultz; mother, Gertrude Schultz; brother, Frederick Schultz; and her husband, Bruce. She is survived by her daughters, Theresa (Jeffrey) Tijerina, and Lisa (David) Van Ostenbridge . She also left four grandchildren, Paige Tijerina, Brett and Adam (Karo) Van Ostenbridge. Additionally, she is survived by relatives in the Lambertus and Schultz families, her many friends, and her dog, Ginger. Carol will be remembered in our hearts as a caring wife, mom, grandma, aunt and friend. She will always be known for her sense of humor, her strength and her resilience. A memorial service will be held on Sat., Sept. 30 at 11 am at the Pahrump Valley Methodist Church, 1300 E. Highway 372, Pahrump, Nev., 89048.
