EUGENE A. CASPER Eugene A. Casper, 83, viewed his final sunset on March 1, 2017 at Infinity Hospice in Las Vegas. His first sunrise occurred on Sept. 27, 1933 in Ranchester, WY. Eugene served in the US Army from 1953 to 1956. He was a 40-year resident of Pahrump, previously living in Beatty. Eugene loved working in the yard and family get-togethers, but his passion was cars. He was a talc miner in and around the Tecopa-Shoshone area, where he worked for Pfizer and Western Talc.Eugene was a member of Operating Engineers Local 12. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Tillis Casper; sister, Adeline Casper; brother, Don Casper; wife, Edith Casper; son, Roger Casper; and daughter, Debra Libertuci. He is survived by sister, Georgette Torrence, Pahrump; grandson, Chris (Leann) Rich, Pahrump; grand daughter, Tania Ocvean, Florida; step-daughter, Dixie (Joseph) Collins, Kansas; stepson, Steve Ross, California; two grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; and cousins. A Day of Remembrance will be held on April 29, 2017 from 1:00-3:00 p.m. at the Pahrump Senior Center, 1370 W. Basin Avenue. Internment will be at Chief Tecopa Cemetery with his wife, Edith.
