FOYE CROOKS Foye Crooks was born in 1928, died in 2017, and lived every year in between to see a daily changing world. He was many things to lots of people. He was and always will be husband, dad, grandpa, brother, son, uncle, devoted family member, friend, and boss! He loved God and country and was a very proud Korean War Veteran and patriot. He was an accomplished carpenter at a time when actions many times spoke louder than a formal education. He became a construction business owner and even wrote his own construction manual that is relevant today. If you talked to him for even a few minutes, you would learn of his deep love of animals. He cherished them throughout his life and even helped raise a newly-hatched wild finch at his home in Pahrump. Along with his brother, Darrell, they could share stories and tell jokes to keep the family entertained for hours! With his wife of 64 years, Bobbie, he retired at age 55. They traveled the country he loved in their house-on-wheels for ten years. Sometimes they enjoyed touring on their Honda Gold Wing 1000! They settled down in Pahrump and together built their dream home in 1995. He loved and took care of his family his entire life! He leaves behind his wife, Bobbie; a daughter, Leta Weir; grandchildren Rebecca and Trevor Weir; son, Steve Crooks and wife, Ina; grandchildren Brian and Jeffrey Crooks; son, Johnny Crooks; brother, Darrell Crooks and wife, Norma; many loving nieces, nephews, and other family members and friends! We are sure his father, John; mother, Fannie; "Grandpa" George; Doris Crooks and precious baby brother, Johnny were right there to meet him! To our sweet soul mate, dad, and grandpa: We love you and will see you on the other side, whole again! Your loving family!
