KEITH CHARLES KVASNICKA Keith Charles Kvasnicka of Limon, Colo. was called home on March 21, 2017 at the age of 95. Keith was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend, who brought joy to all those around him. Keith was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Drummet, his parents and three siblings. Keith was born in Haddam, Kan. on May 8, 1921 to Edward and Emma Kvasnicka. He graduated from Mahaska High School in 1939 where he began farming and married Dorothy in October 22, 1941. In 1945 he enlisted in the U.S. Navy. Upon returning from his service, he farmed and worked in grain elevators in Kansas. In 1954 he left farm life to become an elevator manager full time. in 1958 he began managing a grain elevator in Arriba, Colo., where he remained until retirement in 1986. Upon retirement, Keith and Dorothy moved to Limon, Colo. They traveled extensively and visited every state. In 2005, they moved to Preferred Resort in Pahrump Nev. They spent the remaining years there until Dorothy passed in 2013. Their friends and family were their greatest treasure. Keith was blessed with and is survived by four daughters, Carol Moss of Laguna Niguel, Calif.; Sherri Grossnickle (Darrell) of Pahrump; Joyce Vice (Brad) of Genoa, Colo.; and Judy Williams (Gene) of Pahrump; a brother, Arnold Kvasnicka of Broomfield, Colo.; and numerous nieces and nephews. Keith is also survived by his 11 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren, with whom he shared many great memories. A memorial service will be held March 31 in Limon, Colo. and a graveside service for Keith and Dorothy will be held at the Mahaska Cemetery on April 1. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date in Pahrump at the Preferred Resort.
