RALPH "HOKU" HIND Ralph "Hoku" Hind, aka "Honey Boy", passed away Oct. 9, 2016, in Las Vegas, Nev. He was born March 15, 1941, in Kamuela, HI, and was a resident of Pahrump for 16 years, previously from Hawaii and Alaska. Ralph had served in the Navy on the USS Lexington CVA-16 for 3 years, and continues his service in the Naval Reserve. He was an avid, amazing musician, bowler, golfer, fisherman, hunter, and cowboy. He was also a Shriner, Jester, Mason, and a member of the Royal Order Of Kamehameha. Ralph was preceded in death by his mother, Susan Lindsey; father, David Hind; brother, Moke Hind; brother Marshall Hind; brother, Errol Hind, and brother Keith "Dumpling" Hind. He is survived by his wife, Connie Hind, son Kamaki Hind; daughter Lilinoe (George) Padilla; step-daughter, Jimi Ruth (Trevor) Offenbacker; granddaughter, Pualani (Ken) Keanaaina, all of Pahrump; sister, Sheila Hanohano; sister, Iwalani Waite; sister, Leona "Lovely" Hind; brother, Wayne "Kila" Hind, all of Palolo, HI; 5 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held Friday, Oct. 28, at 2pm at Trinity Assembly Of God Church on Big Five Rd. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to the Children's Shriners Hospital.
