ROBERT E. DOSS, SR. Robert Earl Doss, Sr. passed away Feb. 18, 2017 at home in Pahrump. He was born Sept. 3, 1934 in Sulphur, Okla., and was a resident of Pahrump, having come from Simi Valley, Calif. He was preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Margaret; parents, Haroll C. and Ruby Ann Doss; brothers, Haroll C. Jr., Edward, Charles and Jerry; and sisters, Patricia Gaspard and Caroline Wills. Surviving are his son, Robert E. Doss, Jr. of Coeur D' Alene, Idaho; daughters, Peggy Morales (Emiliano) of Las Vegas and Shirley DePalma (Richard) of Oak View, Calif.; sisters, Dora of Las Vegas and Kathleen of Franklin, Pa.; nine grandchilden and 16 great-grandchildren. Robert was a veteran of the Korean War, serving in the U.S. Navy, where he received a Purple Heart. Robert was a block mason and owned Bob's Masonry in Simi Valley, Calif. before retiring to Pahrump. Robert enjoyed fishing, bird hunting, boating and camping. He was a master craftsman in woodworking. He took pleasure in sitting on his patio watching nature. Robert was a Christian. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 11 at Pahrump Family Mortuary, 5441 S. Vicki Ann Road.
