ALLAN WAYNE SCHWARTZ Allan Wayne Schwartz, of Pahrump passed away on July 18, 2018 at 80 years of age. Allan was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota on June 1, 1938 to Aaron "Harry" I. Schwartz and Martha Ress Schwartz. Allan was an only child, who grew up in Minneapolis, where he graduated high school in 1956. Allan met the love of his life, Carol Browning, and they married in September, 1959. Allan and Carol were blessed with four children. While in the Air Force, Allan served multiple tours of duty as a weapons mechanic and technician on several Air Force aircraft. Overseas tour locations included Libya, Thailand, Okinawa, Guam and Germany. Allan served in the Air Force for 21 years before retiring as a technical sergeant in Phoenix, Arizona, where he worked for Arizona Public Services as a locksmith. Allan and Carol then traveled all over the U.S. in their 5th-wheel until they settled down in Pahrump, Nevada. Allan was very involved in the American Legion, Jewish War Veterans of the USA, Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW), Disabled American Veterans (DAV), and served as Commander in the Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary (DAVA). Allan was preceded in death by his father, Aaron "Harry" I. Schwartz; mother, Martha Gleason; stepfather, Charles (Carol) Gleason. Allan is survived by his four children; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held on August 5, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at the Bob Rudd Community Center, 150 N. Highway 160, Pahrump, NV 89060. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for memorial donations to be made to the DAVA, Pahrump, NV Unit 15.
