CLOYD WILLIAM KERR Cloyd William (Bill) Kerr, III, was born May 29, 1950, the first child of Renee and Cloyd W. Kerr Jr., in Pasadena, Calif. and entered eternity surrounded by loving family and friends at his home in Pahrump, Nev. on January 25, 2020 (age 69). Cloyd served in the United States Marine Corps from 1968 1970 and credited that service with "growing him up". He carried those principles with him throughout his life, always a proud Marine. He continued to serve fellow veterans by playing music at veteran's events and was the proud recipient of a quilt made in his honor through the "Quilts of Valor" program. At an early age, Cloyd (Bill) drove ambulances, dispatched responders and, later, owned an ambulance service. He had many inventive ideas, often before their time, and enjoyed finding ways to make things work differently or more efficiently. He became committed to safeguarding pools for families and children with his company, "Life Saver Pool Products", providing that service until his move from California to Pahrump. Once in Pahrump (2002), Cloyd (Bill) discovered gardening and milk cows. How he loved growing vegetables, feeding chickens and caring for his cows. He excelled as a "gentleman farmer", involving himself with the Master Gardeners and local farmers markets. Learning to make butter, canning his "secret recipe" relish and seeing the results of his labor filled him with joy. On Easter Sunday, 2010, Cloyd (Bill) committed his life to his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Never the same, he committed his talents to worship, playing guitar and singing with believers throughout the community. He attributed the lessons in obedience and service he learned to the patience and love of his worship leaders, Wendy King, Wes Clouser and Tim Pereira, and was honored to be a servant in that way. While always a "people-person", Cloyd (Bill) became a true lover of people, never knowing a stranger. Cloyd was preceded in death by his father, Cloyd William Kerr, Jr.; his parents, Bob and Renee Joyce; his sister, Carol Trisler; and his beloved son, Cody Kerr. He will be sorely missed by those that remain, including his wife, Salli Kerr; his children, Cloyd William Kerr, IV., Bonnie (Angelica) Kerr, Cara (John) Gamble, Anthony Cline, Ethan Cline, Eli (Stephanie Glover) Cline; mothers of his children, Sue Avakian and Marcia Kerr; brothers Kevin (Maggie) Kerr and Cameron Kerr and numerable nieces and nephews. Being a grandfather brought him such joy and the delight of his life were his grandchildren, Jayce, Kaela, Alex, Parker, Holly, Kaylan, Melissa, Logan, Zayden, Landon, Kaiden and great-granddaughter, Rylee. Family and friends are asked to join with joy and love to celebrate his life at 10 o'clock a.m., Saturday, February 8, 2020 at Faith Fellowship Foursquare Church, 2190 N. Blagg Road, Pahrump, NV 89060. Come prepared to share your memories in writing and/or video at the reception following as a gift to the family.
