DOLORES ESPINO MARTELL Dolores Espino Martell, 89, of Pahrump passed away peacefully on Aug. 5, 2018 after five days of compassionate care at Nathan Adelson Hospice in Las Vegas. She was born on Nov. 30, 1928 in Tracy, Calif. to Leopoldo Espino and Maria Lopez Espino. Working as a nurse's aid for 40 years, she began at Colusa General Hospital in Colusa, Calif., then at Mercy Hospital in Redding Calif. Moving to Reno, Nev. in 1969, she ended her career at St. Mary's Hospital in that city. Dolores met and married her husband of 44 years, Victor Martell, who also worked at St. Mary's. They moved to Pahrump in 1998. She and Victor were active in the Pahrump Model A's Car Club, and she was an active member of the American Legion Women's Auxiliary. Dolores was preceded in death by two brothers, Ralph Espino and Joseph Espino; two sisters, Linda Espino Almaguer and Lupe Espino Montoya. She is survived by sisters, Esther Espino Garcia, Jenny Espino Guerrero; and sister-in-law, Esther (Ralph) Espino. She is also survived by her husband, Victor Martell of the home; daughters, Barbara Watts (Ken Thomas) of Tampa, Fla., Yvonne Harris, currently residing in Australia; sons, Manuel (Sue) Roa of Pahrump and Andrew Roa of Los Angeles, Calif; and stepdaughter, Vickie Adler of Camas, Wash. She leaves six grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren. Boulder City Family Mortuary is handling all arrangements and internment will be at the Southern Nevada Veteran's Memorial Cemetery, both in Boulder City, Nevada.
