GENEVA DULANEY Geneva Delilah (Brown) Dulaney passed away at the age of 100 years and eight months on March 27, 2018 at the Nathan Adelson Hospice facility in Las Vegas. Beloved mother, grandmother a n d great-grandmother, she was born July 23, 1917 in Carthage, Ill. She lived in Hamilton, Ill. until she moved to Pahrump in August, 2016. Geneva was married in 1936 to Robert (Bob) Leo Dulaney of Burnside, Ill. They met at a dance in Carthage, Ill. Geneva and Bob were married for 67 years, when Bob contracted Legionnaires disease and passed away in 2005. Geneva and Bob had two sons, Ronald, born in 1937 and Dale, born in 1945. Ronald served in the U.S. Navy and passed away in 2005. Dale served in the U.S. Marines and the U.S. Air Force and is a Vietnam veteran. Geneva worked 25 years at the Sheller Globe Rubber Plant and 25 years at Dadant Candle Factory, when she retired. After her retirement, she and Bob travelled throughout the United States in their travel trailer. They finally became "snowbirds," spending their winters in Apache Junction, Ariz. Geneva's favorite pastime was quilting and making birthday, anniversary and wedding cakes. She estimated that she made hundreds of cakes and over 60 quilts. Geneva was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She had three brothers, Ira, Millard, Eddie; and four sisters, Delina, Sara, Jane, Irma and Freda. Geneva had four grandchildren, Mike, Kim, Angela, and Ronnie Dee, deceased; and nine great-grandchildren. A memorial will be held May 2, 2018 at the Pahrump Senior Center at 1:00 p.m.
