MAXINE C. JORDAN Maxine C. Jordan passed away at the age of 78 on January 17, 2019 in Pahrump. She was born May 30, 1940 in Elyria, Ohio. Maxine was a Pahrump resident for 20 years. She previously lived and graduated high school in 1958 in Wellington, Ohio. Maxine and Lawrence were united in marriage on Saturday, Sept., 5, 1959 at the First Congregational Church in Wellington, Ohio.Under Maxine's Collectables, she collected Pepsi items, clowns and cookie jars. She was a member of both the Eastern Star and the Rainbow Girls. Maxine was self-employed as a bookkeeper and tax preparer for over 35 years, and worked in the Pahrump Valley Times front office for 13 years. She is preceded in death by her father, Carl Pitts of Elyria, Ohio; mother, Kathern Pallas of Wellington, Ohio; and son, Timothy John Jordan of Wellington, Ohio. Maxine is survived by her husband with whom she enjoyed 20 years of retirement, Lawrence Jordan, Jr. of Pahrump; daughter, Jackie I. Riley of Parma, Ohio; son, Rex A. Jordan-Phyllis (Davis) of Wake Forest, N.C.; son, Bruce & Kelley (Kiley) Jordan of Farmville, N.C.; brother, Peter Pitts & wife Ellie of Wellington, Ohio; 12 Grandchildren and four Great-Grandchildren.
