VINITA MARIE TRENT Vinita Marie Trent passed away May 5, 2019 in Las Vegas, Nev. She was born August 20, 1943 in Chicago, Ill. She lived in Las Vegas and Chicago before her 25 year residency in Pahrump. Vinita retired from the Nevada Test Site 20+ years ago. In Mercury, she helped with working on things that changed our lives for the better. After the Test Site, with her eldest son's help, Vinita opened Nita's Pizza in the Plantation Plaza that at one time was claimed to be the best pizza in town. Vinita enjoyed riding her horses on the back side of Mt. Charleston, Wheeler Pass, Wheeler Well and Lovell Canyon. Vinita is preceded in death by her mother, Rosemary Scherschel of Las Vegas; her father, Wallace Trent of Chicago. She is survived by her son, Rick of Las Vegas; son, Frank of Chicago; son, Mike of Pahrump; and daughter-in-law, Heather of Pahrump; grandchildren, Nick, Ciarra, Frank Jr., and Brandon. With her son, Michael, by her side, knowing she would not make another Mother's Day, he was lucky enough to read this to her: Vinita, you brought me into the light, at that moment, you held me tight. You always were there close, you helped me through the most...hardest times in my life. We laughed. We cried. We fought. We sighed. We said many a hello, and many a goodbye. You will always be in my heart, just as you are in mine, right from the start. Love, Mike 5-3-19. Services will be determined at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Hidden Valley Wild Horse Protection Fund.
