WILLIAM "BILL" STANLEY LAMBERT William "Bill" Stanley Lambert, age 79, passed away June 13, 2018. Bill was born in Randsberg, Calif., grew up in Montana, moved to Las Vegas as a teenager, and graduated from Rancho High School in 1957. Bill joined the U.S. Navy in 1956, served in Vietnam and was awarded the Purple Heart. In 1961 he became a State of Nevada insurance agent and in 1962 was a member of the Silver Flippers Rescue Divers. Bill moved his family to Pahrump in 1971 and opened Western Auto (1971-78). From 1972-79, he served as an EMT on the ambulance crew, which won statewide competition in Carson City. He was a member of the Town Board (1972-76) and Planning Board (1977-79). He helped establish the VFW, serving as vice-commander (1972-73), commander (1973-74), was a 4H leader (1974-78), owned Gogi's Getaway Bar (1987-90), Heritage Farm Nursery (1991), and Kingston Creek Lodge (1994-2001). Bill was a construction lineman, worked at the Nevada Test Site, and was an IBEW member for over 50 years. Bill was predeceased by his parents, Ernest Stanley Lambert and Myrtle Webber Symons. He is survived by his wife, Muriel Johnson (married Feb. 12, 2012); children, Susan, Lance, Michael, William (Bill Jr.) and Brian Lambert; Thomas, Sharon and Rebecca Keane. Bill was blessed with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Sat., July 7 at Heritage Bible Church, 3061 E. Heritage Drive, Pahrump NV. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Nathan Adelson Hospice in Pahrump.
