CECIL LEON SLAUGHTER Cecil Leon Slaughter, 85, passed away September 16, 2020 in Las Vegas, Nev. He was born July 8, 1935. Cecil served in the U.S. Air Force from Jan. 15, 1955 to Nov. 15, 1958. He previously lived in Las Vegas and was a 24-year resident of Pahrump. Cecil had a passion for fishing, shooting, motorcycles, horseback riding, guitars and cars. He was preceded in death by his parents, Reuben Cecil and Melba Slaughter of Dallas, Texas; sisters, Charlie Lou Slaughter and Helen Slaughter, also of Dallas. Cecil is survived by his son, James Leon Slaughter of Sacramento, Calif.; daughters, Kassi Ephraim (Cynthia Slaughter) and Melba Slaughter, both from Las Vegas; 14 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Services will be held on Monday, Oct. 5, 2020 at 9:00 a.m. at the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial & Cemetery, 1900 Veterans Memorial Dr., Boulder City, NV 89005.
