1939 - 2021
LYNDA JOHNSON Lynda Johnson passed away at home in Pahrump Tuesday, January 26, 2021 after battling cancer for the last year. She was born in Riverside Calif. July 25, 1939 to Olen Herd and Lois Woodard. She is survived by her loving husband of 44 years, John; five children and their spouses, Mindy Barrett and Oliver Ryan of Reno, Nev., Carrie and Norbert Jakaby of Carson City, Nev., Jerry Hovey of Reno, Nissa Shields of South Carolina, and Stephanie and Casey Harsh of Stafford, Va.; nine Grandchildren and five Great-Grandchildren, who affectionately called her "GG". She was proceeded in death by her brother, Roger Herd; her Grandson, Trevor Jakaby; and Great-Grandson Robert Manson. It's so hard to describe what a wonderful person she was. First and foremost, Lynda was a friend to all she met. She truly was an amazing woman who loved to entertain and make everyone feel welcome no matter who we dragged home for the holidays! She was a member of the Moose Lodge, where she enjoyed cooking and socializing. She also enjoyed playing cards with the ladies and fun trips and events with the Red Hat Society. Lynda enjoyed many travels around the United States with John and often with friends and family. She had a big laugh that will be missed by all. No services are scheduled at this time.
