PETE SALAS QUINATA Pete Salas Quinata was born January 28, 1940 at Umatac Guam. His registered birth date is January 30, 1940. He moved to the U.S.A. and served in the Army in 1963 to 1965 as a Private and was a medic. Pete went to Glendale after serving his country to move in with his brother, Dan Quinata. He then met and married Pauline Sasaki and together they had one daughter, Terri Teruko, in 1965. They then moved to Maui, Hawaii in 1970 and they had one son, Timothy Minorau Kimokeo in 1975. In September 1980, he met the love of his life on Maui, Carolyn Schoolcraft. August 19, 1981 they tied the knot and made their love legal. They lived happily ever after until his passing on Thanksgiving Day, November 26, 2020 at his Pahrump home under hospic care. It was a wonderful life together of 40 years. Pete leaves behind his wife, Carolyn Quinata; one son, Tim Quinata, one daugther, Terri Teruko McCandless; five granchildren and numerous brothers and sisters. Honoring his wish, there will be no service as family came before he passed as requested.
