RICHARD FIDEL MISQUEZ Richard "Rick" Fidel Misquez, born August 23, 1932 in Pasadena, Calif., passed away January 20, 2021 in Las Vegas, Nev.. due to complications from a stroke. He was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Ignacia (Nancy) Delgado Misquez and his parents, Andy Misquez and Victoria Misquez. Richard is survived by his beloved, significant other, Carol Haynes; his children, Andrew Misquez, Rose Misquez, Eilene (Jeffery) Blanc and Sheri Misquez; brother, Steven Misquez; grandchildren, Michelle Kwek, Andrew (AJ) Lee, Daniel Blanc, Amanda Long, Marie Tubbs, Andrea Perez, Andrew (AC) Misquez. His other survivors include uncles and aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews, in-laws and numerous great-grandchildren. Richard grew up in Pasadena. He and other boys from Pasadena went to Torrance and met up with a group of girls. That meeting resulted in some lasting marriages. Richard married Ignacia in 1955. They lived in various places during their time together including Carson, Calif., Poway Calif., Las Vegas, Nev. and finally in Pahrump. He trained and worked as a Barber for part of his working career. His main career was with the U.S. Postal Service and retired from the U.S.P.S. after 35 years. Richard served in the Army with a rank of Sergeant First Class. He was very social, fun loving and had many friends. He participated in church events and fundraising and was a member of the Knights of Columbus.
